Xiaosong Ma is a principal scientist at QCRI. She works on high-performance computing and storage systems, workload study and benchmarking, as well as cloud computing. Before joining QCRI, Xiaosong Ma was an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at North Carolina State University, where she advised 7 PhD students and 12 MS students. She has published over 60 conference/journal papers, and received multiple awards, including the CS@UIUC Alumni Distinguished Educator Award, and both the NSF and DOE CAREER Awards. Xiaosong received her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2003, and her B.S. from Peking University in 1997, both in computer science.
