Misbah Mubarak
Biography
Misbah Mubarak is a postdoctoral researcher at Argonne
National Laboratory. At Argonne, she is part of the
data-intensive science group that is working to enable
researchers make use of their big data in new scientific
advances. . She is the recipient of U.S. Fulbright
scholarship, ACM SIGSIM PADS PhD colloquium award and a
finalist for Google Anita Borg scholarship. Misbah
received her PhD and Masters in computer science from
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in 2015 and 2011
respectively. She also has experience working at CERN,
Switzerland and Teradata Corporation.
Misbah has authored or co-authored over 25 papers in the area of performance modeling and analysis for High-Performance Computing. She has served as a peer reviewer for a number of journals including ACM Transactions on Modeling and Simulation, ACM Transactions on parallel computing and IEEE journal of computers. She has served as the technical program committee member of ACM SIGSIM PADS conference in 2016 and 2017, publicity chair for ACM SIGSIM PADS in 2017 and organizing committee member of the women in HPC workshop at Supercomputing (SC) 2016.
