Teodor Nikolov
Biography
Teodor Nikolov is a 2nd year Marie Sklodowska-Curie PhD
student in the EU joint doctorate program HPC-LEAP (High
Performance Computing in Life Sciences, Engineering and
Physics). His degree awarding institutions are University
of Wuppertal and Cyprus Institute (CyI). His research
focuses on developing novel high performance numerical
linear algebra solvers. He spends most of his time at the
Juelich Supercomputing Centre hunched over a laptop
writing and executing code on supercomputers. Teodor
Nikolov completed his Master's degree in Applied
Mathematics at the University of Cambridge. He graduated
with a BSc in Mathematical Physics from the University of
Edinburgh. In the summer of 2014 he completed an
internship in the “Scientific Software” division at
Diamond Light Source, UK's national synchrotron science
facility.
