Presenter

David Pfander is a PhD student at the University of Stuttgart. He works at the Institute for Parallel and Distributed Systems in the group of Jun.-Prof. Dirk Pflüger. His main research areas are auto tuning for node-level optimization, performance portability, heterogeneous architectures and software engineering in HPC. He furthermore develops new machine learning algorithms based on the sparse grids approach and contributes to a large astrophysics code for better support of different heterogeneous platforms.
