Wesley M. Wilson
Biography
Mr. Wesley Wilson is a mechanical engineer in the
Computational Analysis and Design Branch at the Naval
Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division. He has worked
in the field of computational fluid dynamics for the past
18 years, with emphasis on surface ship and submarine
hydrodynamics, hull form optimization, and ballast water
and environmental quality issues, with over 20 technical
publications across these areas. Mr. Wilson has been a
member of the development team for the CREATE-Ships
Integrated Hydrodynamics Design Environment (IHDE) since
2008. He’s a member of the American Society of Mechanical
Engineers (ASME) and the Society of Naval Architects and
Marine Engineers (SNAME). Mr. Wilson has supported
hydrodynamics assessments for the Columbia-class submarine
design and was also a recipient of the 2014 NAVSEA CHENG
Engineer of the Year Team Award as a member of the Small
Surface Combatant Task Force.
