Michael Zingale is an Associate Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Stony Brook University. His research involves modeling stellar explosions (Type Ia supernovae and X-ray bursts) and developing new algorithms for efficient astrophysical simulations. He is an author of the open-source Castro and Maestro hydrodynamics codes.
